I made a bulletin board using classified newspaper employment ads as the background. Then using black construction paper I wrote in white chalk "WANTED" GOOD STUDENT WORKERS--this was a display in a vocational classroom.

What's the Scoop? Grades 3-6
Create a large banana split with colored paper. Entitle the board "What's the Scoop?" and have children bring in various newspaper clippings of current events in the news! Pin the articles on the bulletin board daily as they are brought in.

I will also have my rules, consequences, rewards on a wall labeled---PLAY YOUR CARDS RIGHT!!! OBEY OUR CLASSROOM RULES! Huge playing cards will be in the middle and small playing cards will be used for my border.
